Tour Overview
Experience the magic of the season on our Christmas in the Heartland Motorcoach Tour, a festive journey filled with holiday traditions, shopping, music, and sweet treats. On Day 1, we’ll stroll through Chicago’s Christkindlmarket, one of the largest Christmas markets outside of Germany, before heading to Kalamazoo for a visit to the charming Reindeer Ranch where we will enjoy a tour and visit with the reindeer. Day 2 takes us to Frankenmuth, known as Michigan’s “Little Bavaria” and “Christmas Town”, for a hands-on pretzel-rolling class and lunch at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, shopping at River Place Shops, a visit to Zak & Mac’s Chocolate Haus (world’s largest selection of toffee flavors) and Sugar High Bakery (winners of Food Network’s show Cupcake Wars) before checking into the Bavarian Inn Lodge for an enchanting evening with dinner and live musical entertainment. On Day 3, we begin the day with a city tour of Frankenmuth led by a step on guide, then shopping at the famous Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland (The World’s Largest Christmas Store), lunch at Poblano’s Tex Mex Grill, Christmas Ornament making at the Bavarian Blacksmith Shop, visit Frankenmuth Woolen Hill (longest continually operated, since 1894, woolen mill in Michigan) followed by wine tasting, our farewell dinner of the famous Frankenmuth chicken, and a nighttime holiday lights drive. Our final Day 4 we say good-bye to Frankenmuth and drive to lunch at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, followed by a visit to Albanese Candy Factory Store before heading home — ending our holiday adventure with memories that sparkle as brightly as the season itself.
We will have an ugly Christmas sweater/shirt contest at the Farewell Dinner on Day 3 and Christmas trivia on the motorcoach!
