Tour Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Hartford, CT
Our journey begins as we touch down in Hartford, CT, filled with anticipation for the adventure ahead. After gathering our gear and sharing stories of past hikes, we embark on a scenic drive to our first destination: Great Barrington, MA.
Nestled amidst the picturesque Berkshires, Great Barrington welcomes us with open arms. Our home for the next four nights, this charming town exudes warmth and tranquility. As we settle into our accommodations, we can't help but marvel at the beauty that surrounds us, eager for the trails that lie ahead.
Day 2: Hiking Falls Village, CT - 9.3 miles
With the sun rising over the horizon, we lace up our hiking boots and set out for Falls Village, CT. The trail beckons us with promises of rugged terrain and breathtaking vistas. As we traverse through forests ablaze with autumn hues, the melody of nature serenades our senses.
Every step brings us closer to the heart of the wilderness, where cascading waterfalls greet us with their thunderous applause. We pause to catch our breath, awestruck by the raw power of nature. With each passing mile, we forge bonds that transcend words, united by a shared love for the great outdoors.
Day 3: Conquering Mt. Greylock, MA - 7.7 miles
Today, we rise to the challenge of Mt. Greylock, the tallest peak in Massachusetts. Our spirits soar as we ascend into the clouds, leaving the world below in our wake. With each switchback conquered, we draw closer to the summit, where panoramic views await.
Atop Mt. Greylock, we stand in awe of the vast expanse before us, the horizon stretching endlessly into the distance. As we catch our breath, we reflect on the journey that brought us here, grateful for the camaraderie that fuels our ascent.
Day 4: Exploring Tyringham, MA - 11 miles
Our exploration continues as we venture into the enchanting landscapes of Tyringham, MA. The trail winds through verdant forests and rolling hills, leading us deeper into the heart of the wilderness. Along the way, we encounter hidden gems and secret vistas, each more captivating than the last.
In Tyringham, time seems to stand still as we lose ourselves in the beauty of our surroundings. With every step, we uncover new wonders, forging memories that will last a lifetime.
Day 5: Journey to Fort Montgomery, NY - 8.6 miles
As our time in Great Barrington comes to an end, we bid farewell to the Berkshires and set our sights on new horizons. Our next destination: Fort Montgomery, NY, where the rugged beauty of the Appalachian Trail awaits.
Upon our arrival, we embark on the next leg of our journey, eager to explore the wonders of Bear Mountain Bridge.
Bear Mountain Bridge is a breathtaking landmark nestled within the scenic landscapes of New York's Hudson Valley. Spanning the majestic Hudson River, this iconic suspension bridge serves as a gateway to adventure, inviting travelers to explore the natural wonders that lie beyond.
As you approach Bear Mountain Bridge, its graceful arches rise majestically against the backdrop of verdant hills and rugged cliffs. The bridge's sleek steel cables stretch across the river like outstretched arms, connecting the lush shores on either side in a seamless embrace.
From the bridge, panoramic views unfold in every direction, offering glimpses of the rolling hillsides, dense forests, and shimmering waters below. As the sunlight dances on the surface of the Hudson, the scene is imbued with a sense of tranquility and awe-inspiring beauty.
Day 6: Hiking to West Mountain Shelter, NY - 8.8 miles
Today, we set out for West Mountain Shelter, our gateway to the bustling metropolis of New York City. The trail winds through dense forests and rocky outcrops, offering glimpses of the city skyline in the distance.
As we approach the shelter, the anticipation builds, fueled by the promise of sweeping views and urban adventure.
Day 7: Farewell to the Wilderness
We bid farewell to the wilderness and journey home. Though our adventure may be over, the spirit of the trail lives on within us, guiding us on future journeys yet to come.

July 23 - September 20, 2024: We will refund the cost of the trip, less $400
