Trip Overview:
The South Pacific Sampler allows us to discover many of the unbelievable sites in Australia and New Zealand. Our seven days in Australia takes us to the Great Barrier Reef, Melbourne, and Sydney. Our six days in New Zealand takes us to Christchurch, Mount Cook, Dunedin, and Queenstown. We take a catamaran out to the Great Barrier Reef, visit sheep farm and a rich mineral mine, take two boat cruises, and much more. This is the time to say “yes” and to do Down Under!

Itinery Overview:

Oct 6-7:     Flight to Australia (lose one day/international date line)

Oct 8:        Arrive in Cairns, Australia

Oct 9:        Great Barrier Reef- cruise on a catamaran to Green Island: Many optional choices Glass -Bottom Boat Tour or Snorkeling.

Oct 10:      Cairns Tropical Zoo, fly to Melbourne.

Oct 11:      In Melbourne, tour Parliament House, Shrine of Remembrance, Fitzroy Gardens, and Opal House (see how gems are mined).
Oct 12:      Fly to Sidney. Dinner Cruise

Oct 13:      Visit- Sidney Opera House, Botanical Gardens, and Bondi Surf Bathers Life Savings Club.

Oct 14:      Day of Leisure in Sidney with many optional activities.

Oct 15:      Fly to Christ Church, New Zealand. Tour Mount Cook National Park.

Oct 16:      Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Center, Sheep Farm, and arrive in Dunedin (one of the best preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere).

Oct 17:      Tour Dunedin- St. Paul’s Cathedral, Otago Museum, Botanic Gardens (Rhododendrom Deli containing over 3,000 plants), and fantastic scenery along the Otago Region.

Oct 18:      Fiordland National Park and a cruise on a fjord.

Oct 19:      Day of Leisure in Queenstown with many optional activities. Farewell Dinner with a boat cruise.

Oct 20-21: Fly home
