The cost includes round trip bus service to/from O’Hare, airfare, transfers, the cruise, and 9 shore excursions.  Please note that shore excursions are made of small groups that are led by expert guides who speak English. Each person has their own headset.  Travel Insurance is recommended and weI can assist you with it.

Basic Overview

Day 1 Prague  After check-in you will have free time to explore the city.

Day 2 Prague  Extra day in Prague to explore the city on your own.

Day 3 Prague & Melnik We will take a guided walk through Old Town and tour Prague Castle.  Then it is on Melnik to embark your ship. (B,D)

Day 4 Litomerice  This is one of the prettiest towns in the Czech Republic.  We will see several major architectural styles (Baroque, Renaissance, Gothic), historic Market Square, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.  The tour ends with a tasting of Bohemian beers. (B,L,D)

Day 5 Saxon, Switzerland We cruise through soaring rock formations and dock at the spa town of Bad Schandau. We continue on to Bastei a rock tower formed a million years ago. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Dresden is called “Florence on the Elbe”.  Our tour will include residential areas, Dresden Castle, Saxon crown jewels, Zwinger Palace, and much more. (B,L,D)

Day 7 Meissen & Torgau We will tour the Meissenware Porcelian Factory, walk thru Old Town and in Torgau visit the spot where American and Russian soldiers joined in 1945. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Wittenberg This is the birthplace of the Reformation. We will tour Martin Luther’s house and visit the church where he posted his 95 theses. (B,L,D)

Day 9 Dessau & Magdeburg Visit Germany’s first landscaped park with English gardens, tour Worlitz Castle, and walk through these beautiful city-scapes. (B,L,D)

Day 10 Potsdam & Berlin Potsdam is the capital of Brandenburg and site of a famous WWII conference.  In Berlin we will check into a hotel and then explore this great city. (B)

Day 11 Berlin Fly home. (B)
